Press Brake Fabrication
What is a Press Brake?
A press brake machine is used for bending sheet metal. The press brake forms predetermined bends by lowering a punch onto sheet metal that has been positioned on top of a die.
Benefits
Modern Press Brake fabrication saves time and overall cost because of its relatively low setup times and computerized functionality that minimizes wastage and supports high repeatability and traceability. Bending a single sheet of metal into shape is usually preferable to welding two or more pieces together. Welding can be time consuming, and the structural integrity of the end-product may be inferior to that of a single bent piece of metal.
What types of materials?
- Aluminum
- Stainless steel

Why choose GLPS?
GLPS uses several types of press brakes, including a CNC Press Brake, allowing us to offer a high degree of precision and customization, while minimizing costs. Customers from all types of industries trust Great Lakes Pressed Steel to fabricate their parts with efficiency and precision. Press brake fabrication is one of our many core metal fabrication processes. In addition, the majority of our products are proudly made in the USA.*
*All of our manufacturing, assembly, and finishing is completed in the U.S.A from high-quality metals and other raw materials, the majority of which are also made in the U.S.A. From time to time we may source steel and other metals from Canada or other countries to offer our customers lower prices or where particular metals are not manufactured in the U.S.A. If having a product “all or virtually all” made in the U.S.A. is important to you, please let us know and if we can complete your order with entirely made in the U.S.A. materials, we will be happy to do so. We can also provide certificates, showing the place of origin of the metal, if requested at the time your order is placed”.
