Air Baffle: Electrical Motor Application
This air baffle was designed for use within an electric motor, it is meant to lessen the sound of air as well as reduce the amount of air flow. Manufacturing utilized a variety of custom metal stamping based processes, on our 72-ton stamping press. The E210 rolled steel stock was initially cut on our shear before forming; the punch press processes included embossing, perforating, and trimming, utilizing draw dies. The finished product featured dimensions of 8.75″ of outside diameter, 4.50″ inside diameter, at 0.88″ thick. Tolerances of ±0.02″ were maintained throughout the production process. We currently produce 2,000 of these custom metal stamped parts annually for this customer in Georgia, with 2 week lead times.
